Food Pantry

Food Pantry – Rules and Regulations

The Veteran Services Food Pantry is a privately run non-profit organization. The Veteran Services Food Pantry reserves the right to determine who receives food and how often the Pantry may be utilized. The use of the Pantry is a privilege not a right. The Veteran Services Food Pantry is eligible for all Shelby County Veterans/surviving spouses and their dependents. We have no income requirements. You only have to state that you are in need of food.

We request that you call in advance. We will take down what you need from the list of items we have. We will fill your request for you and call you when it’s time for you to pick it up. We will also accommodate disabled veterans/surviving spouses who are unable to pick up their food.

The pantry can only be used once in a 30-day period. If your food needs are more than what we can offer, please let us know and we can talk to you about other resources. Remember to only ask for what you need. There are several families in need through Shelby County. All food received and distributed is via donation from the Shelby County Community.

The re-sale or exchange in any way of any food or item received from the Veteran Services Food Pantry is strictly prohibited. Violation of this policy will affect your eligibility to use the pantry.
